English Classes meet at North Texas Area Christian Church 4 times each week.  There are 10 wonderful volunteer teachers who instruct women in both English skills and in Bible knowledge.  About 25 women attend these classes weekly from the countries of Somalia, Sudan, Liberia, Ethiopia, and Burundi.  Times are as follows:  Monday and Thursday evenings 7-8:30 and Wednesday and Friday mornings from 11-12:30 (childcare provided).  We follow the school year calendar.  If you are interested in volunteering or attending classes, please contact Kaitlyn Mullens at kaitlyn.mullens@gmail.com.

Once a month, about 30 volunteers go together to the Northgate Village Apartments to lead a VBS type outreach for an average of 65 kids.  We play a game, make a craft, provide a snack, and teach a Bible lesson.  Refugee kids come to hear the gospel for the first time, and to learn more about Jesus Christ.  They are loved on by our fantastic volunteers and have a great time!  Outreach dates for 2010 are:  April 24 1:00-3:30pm, May 22 1:00-3:30pm, summer dates to follow.  If you are interested in volunteering, contact Kaitlyn Mullens at kaitlyn.mullens@gmail.com
