Something special is happening in our Computer Literacy Class.

This week, our middle and high school students kicked off their end-of-year project — an “All About Me” Digital Booklet. They set up their files, designed a title page Reading Circle has been cancelled for tonight, April 28th, due to the threat of inclement weather. Stay safe everyone! Memorization Monday!⁠

One of our students memorized this verse recently and we just had to share it. The God who revealed Himself to Moses in exile is the same God walking with our students today. 🙌 So proud! Memorization Monday!

Mentorship is about more than meetings.

One of our mentors recently took his student out for a birthday to remember — an FC Dallas game, a group of friends, and a night full of the kind of joy that’s hard to put into w Hands-on learning looks a little different for everyone — and for this preschool scholar, it looked like a table full of alligators. 🐊

This week, he worked on letter recognition and handwriting practice for the letter C, using alligator manip A few weeks ago, we had the privilege of honoring some very special people — mentors who have walked alongside our students for five years or more.

Five years. That’s hundreds of hours of showing up, listening, encouraging, and believing Memorization Monday!⁠

These A HUGE thank you to Scofield Christian School for hosting their Fun Run fundraiser — and for including Refugee Resources as one of their beloved partners!

Students laced up their shoes and ran laps in the gym to raise money for organizations d "Literacy is a bridge from misery to hope. It is a tool for daily life in modern society. Last week they continued building their typing skills — and the pride on their faces said it all.⁠

Maya Angelou understood displacement. She knew what it meant to long for somewhere safe — a place Last week, our reading circle kids celebrated Easter with full hearts and busy hands! 🐣 

From Easter crafts to learning about the real reason we celebrate — the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus — these kids brought so much joy and Easter is a story of displacement, survival, and new life.

Jesus knew what it meant to flee — born into a family that crossed borders to escape violence, raised in the margins, and ultimately resurrected into a hope no border could contain.
